AFQA LabTAC Role
The LabTAC supports AFQA work by providing expert advice on physical test parameters and methods, in particular the selection and maintenance of a list of recommended and harmonized parameters and methods for use in the supply chain of apparel, footwear, and related products.
Composition
AFQA’s LabTAC is composed of five technical representatives from commercial laboratory networks selected every three years from eligible applications received. Members serve three-year terms of service and may apply for an unlimited number of terms.
Eligibility
Representatives must be employed by a global laboratory network with CPSC and ISO 17025 accredited physical testing locations in at least two of the three key AFQA member locations: North America, European Union, and Asia-Pacific. Representatives are selected based on their educational background, physical testing experience and unique knowledge/skill-set relevant to physical testing.
Term of Service
The current term is 2024 – 2027. Applications for the next term of service will be accepted in 2027 and announced in AFQA’s newsletter at that time.
